A Agência Espacial Americana (NASA) divulgou nesta semana novas imagens do gigantesco asteroide Bennu (101955 Bennu).
Como revelado pela instituição, o objeto espacial, com um diâmetro de aproximadamente 493 metros, está em rota de colisão com a Terra.
Os novos arquivos, obtidos pela sonda espacial OSIRIS-REx da NASA, são usados para um estudo completo sobre o corpo celeste.
Nesta imagem é possível ver uma rocha considerada 'estranha'. De acordo com a agência, ela tem um tom diferente das demais.
Here's a boulder we haven't seen before. The boulder itself is really dark, but if you look closer, there are little light colored rocks all over it that are either embedded in the boulder itself or sitting on it.

O pedregulho está no hemisfério norte do asteroide e tem 20,6 m de altura, o que é aproximadamente o tamanho da cauda de um avião 747.
